About Me
I am a Bachelor of Arts Popular Music graduate from The University of the Highlands and Islands. I am a very dedicated musician with a vast vocal repertoire. I also have other instrumental abilities in flute, piano and guitar.
Currently I am employed by Balnacraig School as a learning support assistant but as a music teacher. It is such a blessing to work at a school like Balnacraig and it is also very rewarding.
Whilst working here I have also set myself up as a self-employed music teacher. I teach singing and music theory on various days from home which is very enjoyable and fills me with great enthusiasm.
I have studied music since September 2010, starting my educational path in Edinburgh at The Academy of Music and Sound then progressing to the University of the Highlands and Islands (Perth College). Through to attending these establishments she has worked with a variety of musicians and met many musical challenges.
Although my degree is in popular music; I have classical vocal training as well as ABRSM classical music theory.
I have recently worked alongside the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, helping them in three different departments Connect, Concerts and Marketing. I even got to help look after Classical singer Karen Cargill! Working with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra has given me valuable skills that can carry through to any job - and I have been asked back as a Connect Intern.
Work has never been just a job for me.
