March 26th 2015, Recital
On March the 26th 2015, I performed in the Goodlyburn Theatre at Perth College UHI. This was for part of my degree and I covered 40 minutes worth of musical theatre songs.
There was a lot of hard work put into this recital as I wanted to achieve the best grade I could for my vocals. I had even been working over summer in 2014 to organise part of my repertoire.
During summer I worked out that I wanted to perform a selection of musical theatre pieces, and finally after a long process came to decide on 12 pieces that I would perform. I recieved a lot of guidance from my vocal coach, Lisa Lulis. I was also paired up with a student graphic designer, Anita Dafalla (Dafalla Designs) who worked with me to perfect images, logos and designs for my recital. The poster on the right was created by Dafalla to advertise my performance.
During this time I was also working with pianist Ian Duguid, who accompanied me for my performance, and fellow vocalist Elaine Hunter joined me for my last number.
The recital was tough, there was a big crowd in to watch me, and there was a lot of pressure on me as this was also technically an exam.
I have uploaded some videos below of my performance for you to watch.
I believe I tried my hardest, and practised right up until the show. So fingers crossed everything I did was enough to achieve my honours degree.

August 2015, The Good, the Bad and the Soprano
The Good, the Bad and the Soprano is duo of duelling divas who battle through popular Disney and musical theatre repertoire to see who is rightfully the best Soprano.
I was a founding member of the duo who helped put together this show for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2015. I helped with script writing, costumes, make-up, selection of repertoire, choreography and got to perform.
Out of all the acts on during the week at the venue The Good, the Bad and the Soprano had the biggest audience.
It was such a pleasure to take park in the entire creation and delivery of this show, and would do it again in a heatbeat.
