Work Experience

 

 

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra

One Week Work Placement in January 2015.

Requested back to help again in March 2015.

Duties Include:

• Taking client attendance and organising equipment at events/workshops

• Working closely with the musicians backstage to organise stage times

• Working as part of a team.

• Marketing, social media advertising and networking with clients and potential clients.

• Setting up equipment in a timely manner.

• Helping and leading creative projects and workshops (music and promotions)

• Following tight schedules at concerts and workshops.

• Organising concert guests with cd sales and tickets, high class musicians, and guests/

clients.

 

 

Balnacraig School

A teaching placement within the school for 6 weeks from February 25th 2015 (2hrs per week).

Duties will include:

• Organising lesson plans for the students

• Maintaining a high level of enthusiasm

• Creating a friendly musical environment for learning

• Delivering lessons to the students to a tight time schedule

• Using leaderships skills to lead the lessons.

• Making sure the students understand lessons, through detailed explanations and

communication

 

 

Broxburn Academy

One Week Work Placement (January 2014) • Position:MusicTeachingAssistant

Duties Included:

• Delivering lessons to small groups of students

• Shadowing class tutors• Helping out any students that require more help with given tasks

• Accompanying students on piano

• Tutoring the singers and giving advice on pieces.

• Helping students gain understanding of topics being covered
